Admission Process

The basis of selection for enrollment will be the percentage of marks obtained in class X and class XII. The merit list for enrollment will be prepared category wise by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in both the classes. If the average of the percentage of marks remains the same, the candidate with higher qualification will be given priority in the selection. If the average of the percentage of marks and merit are the same, the candidate older in age will be given priority in the selection.

Age Limit

For nomination, the minimum age of the candidate will be 18 years and the maximum age will be 34 years on the first January of that year. In the maximum age limit, relaxation of five years will be given to SC/ST and disabled candidates, two years for backward and extremely backward classes and maximum three years for female candidates (except SC/ST).

The selection of eligible candidates from the applications received for enrollment will be done by a committee of the following members:-

  • District Education Officer - Chairman
  • Principal of the concerned training institute/college – Member Secretary
  • Senior lecturer of the concerned training institute/college – Member
  • One official of Scheduled Caste/Tribe nominated by the District Welfare Officer – Member
  • Faculty member of State Education Research and Training Council or Principal of nearby training institute/college or his representative - Member

3% (three percent) of the total seats sanctioned by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) will be reserved for PWD candidates. 10% (ten percent) of the sanctioned seats will be reserved for the candidates of Urdu subject. Horizontal reservation will be applicable for physically handicapped and Urdu candidates.

50% of the remaining seats will be reserved for Science and 50% for Arts/Commerce candidates.

Publication of merit list

Combined merit list will be prepared category wise separately and it will be published on the notice board of concerned training institute/college and district education officer's office. Information for nomination from the merit list will be published on the notice board of the affiliated college and information will also be sent to the candidate selected for nomination by registered post and a maximum of 15 days will be given for nomination. After the lapse of 15 days, the process of reservation category wise nomination will be started from the remaining candidates of the merit list.
